The Caregiver must have an eye for attention to detail and be flexible to work in different rooms with different ages. The ability to follow and complete directions is extremely important.
The Caregiver is responsible for the supervision and management of the classroom in accordance with the goals and curriculum plan of our center.
Position Objectives
- Create weekly developmentally appropriate activities
- Assess children's progress
- Supervise and direct assisting staff
- Ensure safety and physical well-being of the children
- Maintain regular communication with parents
- Contribute to the effective operation of the overall program of the center in compliance with the Rules and Regulations of the Ohio Department of Education
Qualifications
The Caregiver should have:
- At least one year of employment in a part-day or full-day program
- Good verbal, listening and written communication skills
- Ability to be flexible in assignment and work hours
- Credentials that meet state requirements for education and additional center requirements may apply
- Experience in the following would be an advantage: work history with young children, advanced education beyond high school, participation in work shops or training programs for young children and any volunteer activities
